Regular Church Activities


Breakfast Church Last Sunday of the Month 9:15am at Cornerstone

Family Worship time with storeys, crafts and singing followed by breakfast with a time to chat and reflect. 


Connect Parent & Baby Group at Urmston, Cornerstone, Sevenways

Life can be wonderfully rewarding but also very demanding and challenging for parents with young babies, but you’re not on your own….

Connect Parent & Baby Group is a no-agenda, all inclusive drop-in group open to all parents of babies and toddlers. The group provides a warm welcome and an opportunity for parents to “Connect” with other parents in their local area over a cuppa, whilst their little ones explore our collection of sensory baskets and toys.

We have three sessions at three churches in the circuit as follows:- 

Monday 12:30pm - 2:30pm 0-1 Years at Urmston 

Thursday 10am - 12pm 0-24 Months at Cornerstone 

Friday 10am - 12pm 0-2 Years at Sevenways 


First Sunday 1st Sunday of the Month, 10:45am - 11:45am (during church service) at Brook Road

For children, young people and their families. We explore bible themes through drama, craft and fun activites.


Messy Church One Sunday per month, 10:45am at Sevenways

For children and their families. Exploration of bible stories through craft, drama singing and fun activities. Food is also available.


Parent and Toddler Group Monday 09:30am - 11:30am at Sevenways

For pre school children and their parent/carer.

Anchors Boys Section 6-8 Years Wednesday 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Junior Section 8 - 11 Years Wednesday 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Company Section 11 - 15 Years Wednesday 7:45pm - 9:45pm, Friday 7:30pm - 10pm

Senior Section 15 - 18 Years Friday 7:30pm - 10:30pm

The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old. These resources have been developed to help volunteer youth leaders work in a relevant and creative way. We hope through these programmes they will be able to make a positive contribution to a young person's life and be able to share their faith.


Boys' Brigade Thursday 6:30pm at Cornerstone

The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old. Girls' Brigade Tuesday 6pm - 9pm (term time only) at Cornerstone

For girls aged from 4 years - 18 years. We give girls and young women a place to belong, achieve and discover Jesus in safe and friendly environments.


Junior Church

Children's Worship 1st Sunday of the month, 10:45am - 11:45am at Sevenways

For children aged 2 upwards to learn about Jesus from bible stories in a fun way.


Worship Band Monday 6:30pm - 7:30pm  at Cornerstone

This is a practice session held every week to prepare songs the worship band will lead in Sunday Worship. All who enjoy music or singing are welcome to come along and join our merry band.


Singing Group Monday 11am - 11:30am at Urmston

Praise Time Monday 2pm - 3pm at Cornerstone

Come and sing hymns and worship songs. This is an informal praise time and any voices are welcome.



Prayer Groups

Ecumenical Prayer Group Tuesday 9:45am for 30 minutes at Sevenways Methodist Church (Sevenways)

A small group of people from the local C of E and Methodist Churches meet for prayer reflection followed by cuppa and a chat.


Prayer Group 2nd Thursday of the Month 11am - 12pm at Brook Road

A mix of prayer styles appreciated by all those who attend. The group is small but it is a worthwhile experience.


Prayer Meeting Monday 10am at Urmston

Start the week with prayers and quiet time.


House Groups

Koinonia Tuesday 8pm Fortnightly at a members home (Cornerstone)

Bible study led by a Local Preacher. Look at our lives today and at bible scriptures and sing some hymns and worship songs.

House Group Thursday 7:30pm Fortnightly at a members house (Cornerstone)

Bible study group led by Local Preacher looking at how a bible passage is relevant in today's world.

Ladies Fellowship

Ladies Fellowship 1st and 3rd Thursday of the Month, 2:30pm at Brook Road

Come and spend friendly fellowship time and enjoy listening to many interesting and varied speakers from all walks of life.


Third Tuesday Ladies Group 3rd Tuesday of the Month 7:30pm at Brook Road

A group for lively minded ladies of all ages. Enjoy a time of warm fellowship with the emphasis on fun, thanks to light hearted games and quizzes.


Cafés and Coffee Mornings

Cafe every Saturday from 10am to 12pm at Cornerstone

Start the weekend off with a good hearty breakfast and a chat with friends at reasonable prices or just come for a cuppa and a tea cake.


Cuppa and Chat 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month 2pm to 4pm at Cornerstone

£1 for drinks and biscuits. This is an informal couple of hours to chat, play games - scrabble, dominoes, cards and lots more.


Coffee Morning 1st Saturday of the month 10am to 12pm at Brook Road

£1 donation for drink and biscuits. There is also a raffle and bring and buy stall.


Coffee Morning 2nd Saturday of every month 10am to 11:30am at Urmston

There will be a raffle, bric-a-brac books and DVD stalls etc.


Coffee Morning 1st Saturday of the month, 10:30am to 12pm at Sevenways

Join us and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea and a friendly chat.


Café every Wednesday 10am to 12pm at Gorse Hill

Pop in for a chat drinks, toast etc. £1.50.


Social & Community

Lunch Club 1st Thursday of the month, 12pm at Sevenways

Fellowship for the elderly and people on their own to come and enjoy a friendly lunch.


Ladies Coffee Pot Circle 1st Tuesday of the month, 7:30pm - 10pm at Sevenways

Informal friendship and social group for ladies.


Carers Wednesday 10:45am once a month at Cornerstone

For people who care for relatives or friends and need time for themselves. Come and have a chat with people who have the same circumstances and enjoy a cuppa and some cake. Help and support is offered.
